Customer Spotlight: Recording Artist - So Wavy

In our third installment of Crowns Spotlights we had a chance to talk to one of the hottest female rappers from the Polk County area, So Wavy. She sat down with Crumbs To Crowns to give us more insight on her journey to making her name in the music game.

How long have you been in music? Was this always a passion? or something you grew to love?

I have been rapping since 6th grade but have actually been taking it serious for 2 years. I have always been a big fan of music. I knew every song that came on the radio, every song in rotation on BET & MTV, I’ve just always had a thing for music. Music has always been more like a passionate hobby of mine, I knew that I had the skills and talent, I was just shy with it.

What is your favorite part about being a recording artist? What was your greatest fear going into music?

My favorite part about what I do is the creative control you have over your music, My greatest fear was just coming out my shell and sharing my music with the people.

Who are some people that inspired you to do what you do? How did their knowledge/Influence impact your music?

People that inspired me would be my family and close Friends. I've always rapped but I never took it seriously and actually tried to perfect my craft. Musical influences would be Rich Homie Quan, Migos, and Peewee Longway. My sound, flow and just little tedious things when making songs is what I gained from those guys.

What advice would you give yourself 10 years ago? And Do you have any encouraging words for anyone who might be scared to take that leap of faith?

10 years ago I would’ve told my self to just go hard and have confidence & faith in everything you do. My encouraging words would be to just step out that shell and it will all come together

What is your definition of Success? & What is something that you're personally proud of that you've accomplished?

My definition of success is accomplishing everything you have set forth to do and being able to uplift and help those around you . One accomplishment I'm proud of is taking my music seriously and when I released my first project. I was proud of myself for finally making it happen.

How do you want to be remembered? & If you could leave us with a quote of your own, What would it be?

I want to be remembered as someone who was always genuine and that showed love with everything I did, no matter how big or small. I'm the one that wants to see everybody up and eating. A quote of my own that I would leave the people with would be “You can fall down , but you gotta get up tho." (Lyrics from my song Monyun)

What does "Crumbs To Crowns" mean to you in your own definition? Favorite Crumbs to Crowns Product(s)?

Crumbs to Crowns to me means coming from the bottom, meaning not being as privileged as everyone else and then striving towards your goals and accomplishing everything you set forth. I really like all of the products but my most worn items would be the Legendary T-shirts and the fleece shorts.
