Here are 4 tips to help your personal growth in any aspect of life. The best version of yourself is waiting on you!
1. SET GOALS FOR YOURSELF
Setting goals allows you to focus on what you are spending your time and energy on.
2. WRITE DOWN YOUR GOALS
Be sure to write your goals down. Research shows that people are more likely to meet their goals then they’ve written them down.
3. BREAK DOWN YOUR GOALS INTO STEPS
If you look at your goals as one big task, it’s going to seem overwhelming. Instead, break them down into each individual task you need to complete to reach your goals.
4. START NOW
So many people have goals, but they think that they need more money, time or resources before they can really start. This is just a form of procrastination. You can start TODAY! There are so many things to do!
5. SET PERSONAL BOUNDARIES
Setting boundaries for yourself can be hard but they allow you to put yourself first. Boundaries help you control who can negatively impact your mental health and your peace.
6. CREATE A MORNING ROUTINE
Giving yourself a morning routine helps you approach your day with a sense of control. A proper morning routine can positively impact the flow of your day mentally, physically and emotionally.
7. CREATE AN EVENING ROUTINE
An evening routine is just as important as your morning routine. Productive evening routines help you decompress from the day as well as mentally prepare you for the next day.
8. STOP COMPARING
Comparing yourself to others does nothing but take your focus away from what you really should be worried about. Everyone is in different stages of their journey, always remember that!
9. AVOID MAKING EXCUSES
Making excuses does nothing but limit our minds. Working through excuses helps your confidence and builds creativity. It's always better to do something instead of nothing!
10. TRACK YOUR SPENDING
It's important to know where your money is going. You'd be surprised at how much money you're wasting and how much extra money you actually have to invest, save and/or spend differently.
11. EXERCISE REGULARLY
Exercise is great for the way your body looks, of course. But exercising regularly also helps build confidence, relieves stress, lowers your blood pressure, and improves brain function.
12. WATCH WHO YOU HANG AROUND
Surround yourself with people that are going to help you elevate and become who you're striving to be. You may have to distance yourself from old friends to get to new levels.
13. BE CONSISTENT
BEING CONSISTENT HELPS YOU STICK TO A LONG TERM GOAL AND YOU'LL BE ABLE TO TRACK YOUR RESULTS. YOU'LL FIND WAYS TO GET BETTER AT WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING BECAUSE YOU'RE ALWAYS INVOLVED WITH IT.
14. DON'T ASSUME THE WORST
Automatically assuming that nothing good will come out of a situation will only hurt you. Imagine if things worked out exactly how you imagined! There are two ways to look at things. Go for positivity!
15. OVERCOME PROCRASTINATION
Procrastination often lowers the quality of your work, increases stress, and can even cause you to miss out on certain opportunities. Don't wait until the last minute!
16. DECLUTTER YOUR HOME/WORKSPACE
It is proven that decluttering your home and/or workspace reduces stress levels. You'll also have more space and a cleaner environment around you.
17. PRACTICE SELF CARE
Self care is so important to your personal growth and allows you to care for yourself in ways that are best for you. Self care looks different to everyone so make sure you find out what that looks like for you!
18. TRAVEL SOMEWHERE NEW
Traveling to a new place can be so beneficial because you get a chance to see new things outside of what you're used to. Taking a trip to somewhere new, whether it's an hour away or a flight, can give you the recharge and mental break that you need.
19. EAT CLEANER
There is more to caring for your body than just exercise. Eating well is also a major factor in maintaining your physical and mental health. Be cautious of how much processed sugars and highly processed foods that you're putting in your body. Your body is your temple!
20. READ PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT BOOKS
No matter what area in life that you're struggling in, there's a book out there to help you out. A good book can inspire and motivate you to make those healthy changes that you know you need to make in your life.
21. PRACTICE PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Always hold yourself accountable for your actions before you expect to hold others accountable for theirs. It's okay to make mistakes, just be able to hold yourself to a higher standard moving forward. Don't get in your own way.
22. BE PRESENT
Our Smartphones can sometimes distract us from our surroundings and the people around us. It's okay to be in the moment with those around you. You could learn something new, create a new memory or spark a great conversation.
23. CREATE A VISION BOARD
Vision Boards are great consistent reminders of what your goals are! It is important to visualize what you want to make them tangible. Try having/attending a vision board party with some friends!
24. THINK BEFORE YOU ACT
Don't let your emotions get the best of you. Always think about your actions before you make them. We don't always get a second chance at our decisions. Take the time out to think about your decisions and responses.
25. TRY SOMETHING NEW
Life catches up with us quick and we can get caught up in the same cycle. Trying new things gives us a chance to not only learn about something/somewhere new but we also get to learn about ourselves.
26. PRACTICE GRATITUDE
Make sure you're appreciative of even the smallest things. The saying "Somebody out there has it worse" is very true. We all look forward for new or better things but at least we have what we have right now. Gratitude is important.
27. NEVER STOP LEARNING
No matter how smart you are or think you are, you don't know everything. Strive to learn something new everyday. We can learn from technology or people, be a sponge for new information. Knowledge is power!
28. BE YOURSELF
Why live life trying to act like someone else to fit in? You might be able to fool others around you but don't try to fool yourself. You know who you are! Be authentic and be the best version of yourself!
29. HYDRATE YOURSELF
If you've been walking around feeling agitated and tired, you could be lacking hydration. Drinking the proper amount of water helps our bodies function properly and efficiently!
30. LEARN A NEW SKILL
Learning a new skill can help you occupy your time in a fun way or could lead to another stream of income for you. Picking up a new skill may even lead to a change of lifestyle. Give it a try!
31. GIVE YOURSELF DEADLINES
Great things take time but some things can be done in the meantime to continue our progress. To avoid being stagnant, give yourself realistic deadlines to give yourself something to look forward to. You'll accomplish so much more.
32. MAKE DAILY TO-DO LISTS
With so much that we have to do on a daily basis, a to do list is a great reminder of what's needs to be done. If you couldn't finish everything that day, add it to the top of the next day's list. Let's stay on task!
33. MAKE TIME FOR FUN (IF YOU'RE AN OVERACHIEVER)
If you're always focused on your work, it is important to take some time to let loose and have some fun. It'll help you avoid burnout and you'll feel rejuvenated in your work once you get back to it!
34. CUT BACK ON FUN (IF YOU'RE AN UNDERACHIEVER)
If you haven't been hitting your goals, it's time to cut back on the fun and time to get disciplined. You don't have to cut all of the fun out your life but it is time to get some organization with what is truly important to you. Keep the goal first, the fun will always be there.
35. GET RID OF A BAD HABIT
We all have at least ONE thing that we know that we could do better at or less of. Make it a goal to stop that habit and watch how much more empowered you feel. Never forget that you're in control of YOU.
36. SHOW FORGIVENESS
It can be easy to hold a grudge towards people who may have hurt your feelings in the past. None of us are perfect. It's okay to show forgiveness while still keeping your boundaries. You'll be carrying so much less of that angry energy that you may be holding on to.
